Joe West & The Santa Fe Revue is a theatrical presentation of the life, times and music of Alternative Country singer-songwriter Joe West, featuring the orchestrations of the Barrel Cactus String Quartet accompanied by his longtime backing band plus very special guests. “Shortly after I returned to Santa Fe in the late 90’s, it didn’t take long for me to notice my old home town had become a hot bed for so many accomplished musicians. Recently, I’ve been fascinated with the world of Mark Twain, Will Rogers and the era of old wild-west shows and traveling carnivals. Back then, for the price of just one ticket, the audience got to enjoy an amazing, amusing and sometimes bizarre range of entertainment. So with that idea in mind, and since so many folks liked the debut performance of The Santa Fe Revue, I thought it would be a lot of fun to do a rollicking holiday show with the help of a rotating cast of the most talented, offbeat and interesting Santa Fe folks I know.” Due to the overwhelming ticket demand for the Revue’s October sellout debut performance at El Museo Cultural Theater, a lot of folks were turned away at the door because of fire code regulations. So we are pleased to introduce a series of holiday shows, The Joe West & The Santa Fe Revue Christmas Spectacular! The shows will feature the Barrel Cactus String Quartet accompanied by Joe’s backing band plus very special guests Felecia Ford & her Snow Angel Choir, Ben Wright of the internationally acclaimed D Numbers, The Sugar Plum Dancers, Cello maestro, Michael Kott, Santa Fe’s 1961 Rodeo Queen, Doña Dillenschneider, young violin prodigy Phoenix Avalon, Lori Ottino of the bluegrass band The Family Coal, plus the time-traveling banjo stylings of Frank Rolla and Uncle Archie West, The Singin Cowboy. ABOUT EL MUSEO THEATER: The semi-circular theater at El Museo Cultural was originally designed and installed by The Santa Fe Opera folks. The intimate performance space features 240 comfortable theater seats, a spacious stage, professional lighting and excellent acoustics…it is a real gem and we are honored to perform our first Christmas Spectacular there! |
